BIFA is the trade association for companies engaged in the international movement of freight by all modes of transport, it is the primary body representing the UK international freight services industry.
BIFA's mission is: "To provide effective representation and support for Britain's freight services industry in the UK and overseas; to promote Best Practice and Total Quality in the provision of freight services by all members, and to encourage and regulate the membership to observe the highest standards of professional competence".
Freight Transport Association represents the transport interests of companies moving goods by road, rail, sea and air. FTA members operate over 200,000 goods vehicles - almost half the UK fleet. In addition, they consign over 90 per cent of the freight moved by rail and over 70 per cent of sea and air freight.
International air transport is one of the most dynamic and fastest-changing industries in the world. It needs a responsive, forward-looking and universal trade association, operating at the highest professional standards. IATA is that association.

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) provides dedicated campaigning, advice, information and business services specially tailored for the haulage industry. Their discussions take in everything from Fuel and VED rates to the Working Time Directive and changes in EC regulations on the transport of goods. There is no administrative or legislative area that concerns the industry that is not carefully scrutinised and actively pursued on behalf of Members.
